The scale at which the esports tournaments take place is also massive, especially Dota. ‘The International,’ DOTA’s official esports has some of the highest paying prize pools in the esports segment. Likewise the esports players are also earning a good fortune.

Johan “N0tail” Sundstein

Johan Sundstein, also known as N0tail, is the richest Esports player in the world. He has accumulated earnings of $7.2 million in overall winnings ever since 2012. Just like fellow esports players, he has earned his fortune the lion’s share of these earnings from Dota 2, in which he specializes. He has competed in a total of over 130 DOTA tournaments.

Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka

A Finland-based Dota 2 player, Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka, has become one of the most popular esports players in the circuit, especially for his performance in The International, and OG in 2019. He has also played alongside some of the best  esports teams in the world, such as Team Liquid, and Evil Geniuses. Playing in 68 global tournaments he flaunts $6.5 million in winnings, which makes him the second richest Esports player in the world.

Anathan “ana” Pham

Anathan, “ana” Pham, former member of the OG faction, is a primary champion in the Dota 2 circuit. He made his debut back in 2013, and ever since the Australia-based pro has played in a total of 26 paying tournaments. He has accumulated a fortune of over $6 million in winnings. Most of these earning came from OG’s victory at The International 2018, and The International 2019, wherein the team earned a total of $26 million.

Sébastien “Ceb” Debs

Another former OG member Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, ranks fourth in the list of the richest esports players. He has represented the organization in as many as 67 tournaments, of these he earned a majority of his winnings through The International 2018, and The International 2019. Apart from being a DOTA player, Debs has also been the coach of the OG team for two consecutive years, 2016 and 2018. 

Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen

Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, is a DOTA 2 player, who is one of the most successful OG members. The all-round team player boasts an accumulated over $5.7 million in earnings. Although the Finnish player has put in a lot of efforts and brough outstanding results for his organization OG, a major chunk of his winnings come from a joint venture, which he is a part of. Topson is the fifth richest esports player in the world.
