Angry Birds

Angry Birds was released by Rovio Entertainment on December 11, 2009. It came almost a year and a half after Apple launched its own App Store. The game features hungry pigs who steal eggs from birds. These birds then get angry and try to take their eggs back. The player is required to help the birds out by slingshotting them to eliminate the pigs and collect points and stars.

Bejeweled

Bejeweled was officially named Bejeweled 2 on iOS. The game was very similar to Candy Crush, wherein you must combine same-colored jewels to earn as many points as possible. Players get power-ups by combining four gems or different patterns and get more points faster.

Bloons Tower Defense

Bloons Tower Defense, also known as Bloons TD, has been on the PlayStore since 2007 however, it came to iOS only in 2009. The main in this game of Bloons TD is to ensure that balloons do not reach the end of the obstacle course. To do so, you must buy and build towers having different abilities to pop the balloons faster. The lesser balloons make through the finish line, greater your chances of winning.

Candy Crush Saga

Candy Crush Saga was initially created for Facebook by the App Store. The aim of Candy Crush Saga is to match three or more candies in a row. You must go through different levels to earn the highest points.

Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans, started on the App Store in August 2012. The aim here is to build a clan village and eventually compete against other clans. Players can create an army, buildings for resources, defenses, and traps in the village. When building an army, players can attack computer AI in the single-player mode of the game or attack real people’s villages.
