Don’t Burn Out, Take A Break From The Game: Says Blizzard Director For Diablo IV

1 years ago By AI Smith

Diablo IV has already completed a month since its launch. Blizzard’s RPG has been a financial success and players have invested dozens of hours in its game world. In fact, as a result of the hype, many players have squeezed the game to the last drop. Therefore, the development team encourages us to take a break from the game whenever we can.

Rod Fergusson, director of the license within Blizzard, refers not only to the health of the users but also to the fact of not “burning the game”, as they say colloquially. During the last event to delve into Season Of The Malignant and all the content that will come to the game, Fergusson added that even his team takes a “vacation” from time to time.

“When you’ve achieved all the goals and done the things you think are important, take a break,” added associate director Joseph Piepiora. The creative went on to add that every time a season starts. It will be the best “time to get back into the game when you should come back and feel Diablo 4 as a fresh experience “thanks to its new playable features.

The team stood out and stuck out its concept of seasons. The base game is there to be enjoyed, but each season, Fergusson added, “will allow us to have a fresh start for everyone.” Therefore, they want many players to keep in mind that Diablo 4 will always offer a “point where you can return to the RPG and everyone is on the same level.”

Remember that Season Of The Malignant, the first season of the game, will arrive on July 20. From here, the seasons of the game will have a duration of 3 months. Every quarter, the American team will launch a new season and, with it, a good amount of content available to everyone completely free. Although there will also be payable.

Diablo IV Success

As reported by Blizzard in a press release last month, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV has surpassed the barrier of $666 million in the five days of launch. These incomes have also been thanks to microtransactions, which have been the subject of controversy  since some cosmetics cost up to €25 in Diablo 4.

The company has also shared other statistics that show the great reception of the game. In this way, 276 million hours have been exceeded and players have killed 276,000 million demons. However, users have also died 316 million times. The true heroes of the community have been the 163 people who have reached the maximum level in Hardcore Mode, that is, permanent death where you lose all your character, time and objects.
