FIFA 24: Rebranding, Release Date, Leaks & All You Need To Know
Popular game developer, Electronic Arts has revealed the first teaser from the highly anticipated new game, EA Sports FC 24. The upcoming title is the first iteration of EA’s iconic football franchise. Ever since the developer split from the sport’s governing body FIFA, the game has gained massive popularity. The game titled, ‘FIFA International Soccer,’ was first released in 1993. Ever since then over 100 Million copies of the game have been sold, however with the new game EA’ has decided to rebrand its iconic game.
FIFA 24 Rebranded To EA Sports FC 2024
The 30-year partnership between EA and FIFA officially ends with the upcoming game. Last year FIFA had announced that it will not continue its partnership after the two companies failed to agree a renewal.
FIFA has reportedly earned around $150 Million each year from EA Sports just for the rights to use the organization’s official branding. Last year the two companies were to renew their deal, which didn’t go through. Reportedly, FIFA was seeking to double the amount that it receives from EA, which also happens to be its biggest commercial partner.
The last contract between EA Sports and FIFA was signed in 2012. There have been many changes in the gaming space and the organizations in the past decade.
FIFA 24 Release Date
EA Sports dropped the teaser trailer of the upcoming game, EA Sports FC 2024, on Monday 10 July 2023. The full trailer will be released on Thursday 13 July 2023.
The developer is yet to announce an official release date for EA Sports FC 2024, however, several online reports suggest that FC 24 will be released on 29 September. This is more or less in line with the previous releases of the game, which is known to usually arrived in late September or early October.
FIFA 24 Leaks
Some leaks suggest that EA Sports FC 24 will feature a one-week early access period. The only way to get the early access would be by purchasing the Ultimate Edition. In the earlier edition, FIFA 23’s Ultimate Edition, gave players only three days of early access.
