DOTA 2 DreamLeague Season 21: Tournament Format, Rules & Regulations

The tournament follows a two-phase structure: the Group Stage and the Playoffs.

Group Stage (September 18 to September 21): Participating teams will be divided into two groups, each consisting of six teams. The Group Stage employs a round-robin format where every team faces off against every other team within their group. These matches are contested as best-of-2 series. The final standings in each group determine the path each team takes to the Playoffs phase.

  • Teams placed 1st and 2nd in each group proceed to the Playoffs Upper Bracket.
  • Teams placed 3rd and 4th in each group advance to the Playoffs Lower Bracket.
  • The bottom 2 teams from each group will be eliminated from the competition.

Playoffs (September 21 to September 24): The Playoffs stage introduces a double-elimination bracket format. All matches within this phase are best-of-3 series, except for the Grand Final, which will be a best-of-5 series.
